Read an article over genetics and answer questions on Edmodo about it.  Then do a word search concerning genetics and define the vocab

Tuesday
Discuss DNA and its importance; Explain the ingredients of DNA and watch a multimedia video over it.  Then begin building DNA molecules as part of a hands-on activity

Wednesday
Continue DNA bulding and finish projects

Thursday
Quiz over DNA.  There is a 100/80 performance objective over the material on this quiz.

Discuss how muscles tap into energy via three different methods: Creatine Phosphate synthesis, anaerobic glycolysis, aerobic respiration.

7th:
Discuss muscle bioelectricity;  

Tuesday
Review muscle energy pathways, discuss specific muscles briefly;  hand out review sheet for muscle test for both 4th and 7th. Muscle test on Monday.  Give a worksheet out over muscles.

7th:

Transition into specific anatomy of DNA molecules; discuss the nucleic acid bases, base pairing rules, and students are to build models of DNA.

Wednesday
Discuss protein synthesis; show how your body goes from a genotype to a phenotype from the ground up; discuss differences between DNA and two types of RNA molecules.
