Field Biology 3/27 - 3/31

Objective this week:  To learn about water treatment facilities, how they work, and how they affect our daily lives.  At the end of the week, we will apply learned content over the fish unit when we attend a field trip to Glen Elder Reservoir to meet the District Fisheries Biologist for a fish sampling experience.

Objective this week: Students are designing biosuits to exhibit their understanding of homeostasis and body systems.  This week we will be doing different daily tasks in order to complete the project in an organized way.

Zoology 3/27 - 3/31

Objective this week:  To reach the level of mastery over snake identification in Kansas through the completion of a student-taught snake project.

Monday - Wednesday
Snake project construction.  Project must be completed by the end of the day on Wednesday, so we are ready to go for presentations at the end of this week.

Snake presentations and review.

6th Science 3/27 - 3/31

Objective this week:  To complete a STEM project over homeostasis through the successful completion of a space suit modular design that maintains a maximum internal temperature of 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

Monday - Friday
Space suit STEM - design phases all week; I would give more details here, but the daily processes and tasks will be different for each group involved.  Keep up to date with this lesson plan for further updates as they come along.  Thanks.

Objective this week:  To reach the level of mastery over knowledge of bacteria and to complete a bacteria lab; we will also transition into discussion of viruses, their importance, and how they are different from bacteria.

Objective this week:  To learn about water management, quality, and wastewater treatment.  We will be doing field work on "good weather days" so the content covered on this weeks' lesson plans will be updated accordingly depending on the days we go outside.
