Objective this week:  To learn the major anatomical and physiological components of frogs, toads, and other amphibians.

Begin discussing frogs, their form, function, & classification

Tuesday
Frog assignment - work on in class, due tomorrow.

Frog lifecycle; complete frog notes and begin discussing toads

Objective this week:  To understand the chemistry of blood, and how blood is pushed to different parts of your body.

Introduce blood - characteristics, functions, and basic chemistry of blood

Introduce cardiovascular system & heart chambers

Cardiovascular system and heart chambers

Paperslide video construction today

Friday
Map all blood flow through the heart today, including chambers and valve differences

Environmental Science 2/26 - 3/2

Objective this week:  To wrap up the waste unit by completing note sets over hazardous waste; prepare for Monday's exam over waste.

Monday
Review waste notes and wrap up municipal and industrial waste; review any hazardous waste information that's been given.

Tuesday
Finalize hazardous waste notes; create a graphic organizer over hazardous waste categories for points.

Wednesday - Friday
Review project - waste categories.  Paperslide video.

***Next Monday there will be a test over waste***

7th Grade Life Science 2/26 - 3/2

Objective this week:  To understand how environmental factors can help determine the number of organisms that can live in a given area.

Monday
Begin discussing differences between populations and density; then determine carrying capacity.

Tuesday
Carrying capacity worksheet in class.

Wednesday
Limiting factors - density dependent & density independent.  Carrying capacity worksheet today.

Thursday
Review carrying capacity and limiting factors, and practice.  Then video with what time we have left.

Quiz - limiting factors and carrying capacities

6th Science 2/26 - 3/2

Objective this week:  To understand how different forms of insulation affects the temperature quality of model homes.

Begin insulating model homes.  Complete this today and tomorrow.

Objective this week:  For lecture:  Discuss and learn the different types of sleep categories and EEG patterns.  For Lab:  Be able to identify ten new muscles by the end of the week.

Objective this week:  To learn more about the importance of trees through the completion of a horticulture project.

Horticulture in downtown Mankato; work on horticulture plan.

Video - Go to Netflix if you have it; find the "Planet Earth 2" video series.  Watch the "Deserts" episode and write ten facts over the video.

Finish up horticulture plans.

Objective this week:  To develop a model showing how food is rearranged into new molecules within an ecosystem.
