Modeling the major vocab terms from the day before.  Construct a model based on the earth systems from Monday.

Review - levels of organization.  Begin sponges and their anatomy.  Complete sponge assignment #1 on Google Classroom by WEDNESDAY.

Tuesday
Review/finish sponges.  Discuss jellyfish and their anatomy.  Explain differences between cnidocytes and nematocysts as well

Wednesday
Sponge assignment #1 due.  Jellyfish lifecycles and life cycle stories.  Students will write a story about the jellyfish life cycle.

This week we will be focusing on engineering and the engineering design process.

Our basic questions we want to be able to answer this week is:  "What is engineering, and how is successful engineering accomplished?"

Begin discussing the engineering design process; some vocab for today includes: criteria, constraints, solutions, tradeoffs, iterative testing, implementation

Tuesday
Continue discussing the engineering design process; complete questions #1-7 on pages 49 - 55

Wednesday & Thursday
Design a model bicycle helmet using the engineering design process

Friday
Test bicycle helmet models.
