Objective this week: To relate structure to function by building an imaginary creature, and also learn and understand plant tissues, organs, & organ systems. There will be a quiz at the end of the week over these topics.
Monday & Tuesday
Creature builds - begin creating an imaginary life form by converting a seed pod into that imaginary organism; build in your own "features" that demonstrate how the structures relate to function. All features must be biological, so no extra jet packs, weapons, etc. Students will turn in a handout on Tuesday along with their creature for points.
Wednesday
Begin discussing plant tissues, organs, and organ systems.
Thursday
Continue plant organs & organ systems, and review for tomorrow's quiz
Friday
Quiz over organ systems and structure vs function.
