Insect collection prep day.  Please bring all that you have for your collection for today so we can start putting it together.  It's due 10/15 and it's for TEST POINTS.

Students absent/Hadachek absent; students may return early, and if so they can watch a video.

Insect collection prep/complete an assignment in class.

Anatomy & Physiology 9/30 - 10/4

Objective this week:  To learn and understand the importance of glands to your body, and how some glands are different from other glands.  There will be a quiz at the end of the week over the epidermis and dermis.

Monday
Discuss glands - sweat glands vs oil glands.  Forms, functions, etc.

Tuesday
Complete a graphic organizer over sweat glands & oil glands.  Prepare for the skin care lab tomorrow.

6th Grade Science 9/30 - 10/4

Objective this week:  Learn and understand what thermal energy is and how it's transferred through reading and workbook question sets.  There will be a quiz at the end of the week with a 100/85 performance objective to determine how well students are grasping the content.

Begin discussing temperature and heat; Discuss and complete #1-10 on pages 95-101 in your workbook for points.

In-class thermal energy demos.  Station work today.

7th Grade Life Science 9/30 - 10/4

Objective this week:  To reach the level of mastery over cell division by the end of the week through the completion of a kinesthetic assignment and a quiz (100/85 performance objective).

Monday
Discuss cellular division (mitosis); all of the steps, the process, etc.

Tuesday
Discuss the 46 pairs assignment and begin that process

Wednesday
46 pairs activity

Thursday
Review activity for tomorrow's mitosis quiz (Hadachek absent; this activity will be on paper and will be for points)

Friday
Quiz - mitosis.  Continue with 46 pairs.

Biology 9/30 - 10/4

Objective this week:  Reach the level of mastery over carrying capacity and densities in ecosystems by the end of the week through the presentation of a group project, a Google Classroom assignment, and a quiz.

Monday
Wrap up the CC redesign project for points.  Finish all phases of group work, visuals and presentation materials completed.

Tuesday
Present group projects to the class, reflect on the experience.

Wednesday
Quiz - redesign project, carrying capacity questions, etc

Thursday
Hadachek absent - complete a Google Classroom activity.
