Environmental Science 10/28 - 11/1

Objective this week:  To understand the importance of photoperiodism in the life of organisms, and to begin looking at carnivores in Kansas, creating a presentation over what you've learned with them.

Monday
Begin photoperiodism - what is photoperiodism?  How does it affect living things?
Assignment - research photoperiodism in a minimum of two animals and one plant.  Include a minimum of three websites used in this project besides Wikipedia.  Write a review over each website, 7-10 sentences and include the links/sources with your E Mail.

Tuesday
WT Deer timeline and life cycle; explain how photoperiodism fits in to this process.

Wednesday
Discuss facts over Kansas carnivores - begin a multimedia project over them.

Thursday
Halloween activity today for points.

Friday
Kansas carnivores multimedia project work.


Biology 10/28 - 11/1

Objective this week:  To demonstrate understanding on human impacts to the environment, and to think critically on solutions for this issue.

Monday
Using your iPad, create a Google slides presentation over an issue with human impacts to the environment, and a possible solution for it.  Today - phase 1.  Create the Google Doc, share it with me, and discuss the issue at hand.

Tuesday
Work on Google Slides project over human impacts.  Today, phase 2 - what can be done as a solution to this issue.  Include current world solutions and your own as well.

Wednesday
Present your slide shows to the class.

Thursday
Halloween review activity

Friday
Quiz - various semester topics;  finish presenting your human impacts projects to the class.

Anatomy & Physiology 10/28 - 11/1

Objective this week:  To be able to identify bones of the skull, and understand how bones are made.

Monday
Discuss osteogenesis; how are  bones formed?  Discuss all components of this.

Tuesday
Bone identification - review bones of the skull.  Osteogenesis discussion second half of the period.

Halloween activity - osteogenesis for points
